When do we take these photos?
The photos are typically taken a day or two before the service. Our clients can coordinate with the temple to determine the best days. Alternatively, we can also schedule the photo session for the morning of the service, in which case, it is important to ensure we meet at least an hour before the service begins to allow ample time for family pictures and formals, especially if extended family members will be participating.
What do we do at the temple?
We capture a glimpse of what the service will look like. Families are encouraged to dress in the attire they plan to wear on the actual day of the ceremony and even bring extended family members to participate. Our photographers will help you re-enact some of the important steps we would otherwise document during the service (if allowed).
Important things you should know:
Some of our shots will include the family holding and reading the Torah, so clients should consult with the temple if we are allowed to take the Torah out or if we need anyone from the temple present to help us.
